Welcome to the brand-spanking new Picktastic Blog! Whether you’re new to the site, or have been here a while, you can probably tell that we are growing. Cool new features are getting added on a regular basis to make the site easier and more fun hang out at. New users are signing-up, picking and trash talking every day, and the playoffs and bowl season are right around the corner. Holy crap!

So yeah, we have a blog now! Awesome! When I first started thinking about what we wanted to do with the blog, I thought, “Is this going to be like every other blog that happens to be associated with every other “Web 2.0” site, where they just talk about new stuff they’re adding, or ramble about topic-related issues that nobody cares about? Well, obviously not. You can see where this is heading. We want to actually do something different and interesting.

Brando and I want the blog to be the voice of Picktastic. We want to showcase the people who are kicking ass at their picks and wagers. We want to talk about the teams that YOU care about, because that’s who everybody is picking. Forget what ESPN, Yahoo, FOX or any of those other sports sites are saying: this is your site. Brando and I are just here to help get you fired up about sports.

This means that we’re going to be bringing you more ways to talk trash. It also means that it’s your blog, so if you have something to say, e-mail us! If you find awesome sports videos on YouTube, or funny pictures around the web, let us know. We want to give you the mic, and let your voice be heard, no matter how crazy or controversial .. (well, within reason. We’ll only paste mud-wrestling pictures if the girls are hot). Think LSU and Ohio State don’t deserve the #1 and #2 spot? Think the Patriots will go undefeated? Think the Celtics will be the breakout team?
